Photos entered in the competition will be shown individually by number on the AVSC website. After the final posting date (Dec. 31, 2011) AVSC members may vote for their favorite photos by e-mailing their ballot to normashley@aol.com

To vote you will be asked to select the 5 best photos according to their number and award points (the photo you like the best receiving 5 points, the second best 4, 3, and so on with the least favorite receiving 1 point). After the votes are tallied the top 5 photos will be awarded and additional 2 points each.The photograph with the largest number of points will be declared "Best photo". The photographer whose photos earn the highest number of points will be recognized as "Photographer the Year".
