Photos entered in the competition will be shown individually by number on the AVSC website. After the final posting date (Friday December 24th), new and active status AVSC members may vote for their favorite photos by e-mailing their ballot to: normashley@aol.com by: 11:59p.m., December 31st.

To vote you are asked to select the 5 best photos according to their number and award points, the best getting 5 points, the second best 4, 3, and so on with the least favorite receiving 1 point. Photographers will receive an additional 2 points for each photo in the top five. The photograph with the largest number of points will be declared "Best photo".The photographer whose photos earn the highest number of points will be recognized as "Photographer of the Year".
