Discover Scuba Diving ! Experience the thrill of breathing underwater and dive
into underwater adventure around the world or around the corner. Join our three session course where you will be introduced
to basic concepts of scuba diving and learn scuba skills in class and in the pool. The sessions will be run by certified
dive instructors in conjunction with the Aquatic Voyagers Scuba Club (AVSC). Students must be at least 16 years of age.
Scuba gear will be provided.This course is designed as an introduction to the sport of scuba and does not carry any certification.
Information for those interested in pursuing scuba certification will be presented during the course.
Location: York College Athletic Building and pool
Time: Monday 6/2, 6/9, and 6/16 , 7-10 pm..
Cost:: $150
Instructor:
Charles Hasbourne, NAUI instructor.. Mr. Hasbourne has been a scuba instructor for 20 years and holds instructor certifications
from the National Association of Underwater Instructors, Scuba Diving International, and Technical Diving International.
Requirements for participation:
Ability to swim
Completion of medical clearance and waiver forms
Swimsuit, cap, towel and gym lock
Mask snorkel and fins are optional
The attached
registration form and payment should be printed, completed and returned to York College by May 17th. Participants are
also asked to complete medical clearance and release forms to be returned to: Aquatic Voyager Scuba Club, Grand
